Welcome to the end of week two, term two.

Welcome to the end of week two, term two.
Our two new students are settling in well and are enjoying being with their new friends here at UDIS.
The children are adapting back to the new restrictions that are back in force due to the pandemic and it seems that they are not too phased by the recent changes to some of their movements around the school.
So well done to everybody.

Maths
Prodigy Is Fun
Our maths lessons this week have been shared between investigating division further and showing how we have progressed via the prodigy app. online.
Next week we will revisit multiplication and try to connect a relationship between dividing and multiplication.

The Arts
Dancing Hands

We have had a change in our arts lessons. This means Mr. Mark will be teaching visual arts two days per week and Mr. John K will be teaching performing arts once a week. This week in the performing arts class we learned about, how deaf people communicate using their hands and then we practiced dances and songs and tried to sign the words in the songs. It was a lot of fun. We will try the same again next week.

UOI Nong Prajak Park
We have been finding out how people feel when they look at different art works. This week we were thinking about public art. We watched videos about Nong Prajak Park and drew the different art installations that we can see there.

English
Throughout the week the children take part in many different English activities. Some of those activities are; learning how to create joined up letters, reading to an adult, talking about what they have read to show understanding of a story, reading by themselves and answering set questions, using the reading app called reading Eggs, practicing spelling skills and learning how to construct a story. Each of the children work at their own ability level and are supported by miss Am and myself.
There are a group of students who attend
"English as an Additional Language" (EAL)
classes with Miss Liza.

Library
The library has seen a change also as Mr. Dave is now the year four teacher. Each time we visit the library either Miss Am or Myself will help the children to use the library correctly. When they have all chosen their two books for home we sit down and listen to a poem or a story and discuss the events in that story.
