Welcome Welcome to this weeks year 1/2 blog. We had a wonderful fun week and had plenty of learning as well. English The learners are now beginning to understand the way that we create a story. They are being given lots of help and support. We are learning where to use full stops and capital letters. We are discovering what adjectives and adverbs do. We were describing the boy standing on the desk ! :-) Our Big Pencil Awards I like this award because it gives the children a chance to tell their friends why a person should be awarded the "Big Pencil." For example one child was given the award because "they smiled all day!" A very lovely way to encourage positivity within the class. Maths We tried a new game this week to encourage learning the two times table. It's called Kahoot. It is a class game where all the students compete with each other to be the champion two times table king. We will use it again next week for other learnings. We als...
