International Soil Week
Unit Of Inquiry
We have been investigating how looking at art makes us feel.
We also tried to draw pictures the same as the examples of art we had in the classroom.
The children haven't finished their works, however they are looking great.
English
We have been getting very involved with learning about sounds through phonics lessons and the children are beginning to discover the idea that groups of letters can make different sounds. This will make sounding out new words much easier.
We have learnt different ways that we should be taking care of the soil. Following this, we planted some plants into a planter box and the children have been charged with taking care of the plants.
Maths
this week we inquired about the different ways we can count data. We found out about how to use pictograms, tally charts and bar graphs. next week we will be investigating how to measure liquids.
